About the Union
Subscription Here you have an overview of the most ordinary membership fee categories within the 3F trade union. The price will depend on whether you are a member of both trade union and unemployment fund.
The membership fee comprises a branch subscription fee which will vary from one branch to the other. This is why prices are stated as approximate prices.
Trade union

Full-time approximately 501 (2026) kroner per month (after tax approximately 384 (2026) kroner per month) - including group life insurance.

Part-time under 30 hours per week approximately 372 (2026) kroner per month (after tax approximately 287 (2026) kroner per month) - including group life insurance.

+ Optional personal accident insurance for 38 kroner per month. The personal accident insurance is free for the first three months for new members.

 Trade union and unemployment fund

Full-time: approx. DKK 1.071 (2026) per month (after tax approximately 811 (2026) kroner per month) - including group life insurance.
+ optional accident insurance for 38 kroner per month. The accident insurance is free for the first three months for new members
+ optional early retirement contribution of 593 (2026) kroner per month.

Part-time: (under 30 hours per week) approx. DKK 372 (2026) kroner per month - including group life insurance.
+ optional accident insurance for DKK 38 kroner per month. The accident insurance is free for the first three months for new members
+ optional early retirement contribution (efterløn) of DKK 396 (2026) kroner per month

 Unemployment fund

Full-time: approx. DKK 570 (2026) per month.
+ optional early retirement contribution (efterløn) DKK 593 (2026) per month.

Part-time: (under 30 hours per week) approx. DKK 432 (2026) per month.
+ optional early retirement contribution (efterløn) DKK 396 (2026) per month.

Unemployed whose unemployment benefit period has expired: With 3F's unemployment fund, you have the option to apply for an exemption from paying the unemployment fund contribution when you are no longer entitled to unemployment benefits. Talk to your local 3F unemployment fund about it.

 Apprentice

Apprentice: DKK 65 (2026) per month
+ personal accident insurance, optional, DKK 38 per month

Adult apprentice: DKK 472 (2026) per month (if you are paid adult apprentice wages)
+ personal accident insurance, optional, DKK 38 per month

As an apprentice or in training, you can, in some cases, become a free member of the unemployment insurance fund (a-kassen). This means you would be exempt from paying the membership fee. Whether this applies to you depends on your situation, age, and other factors.

Membership fee is inclusive of group life insurance.
Spare time occupation

Young people under the age of 18: DKK 36 (2026) per month

Age 18 - 25 and less than 30 weekly working hours: DKK 69 (2026) per month
+ personal accident insurance, optional, DKK 38 per month.

Membership fee is inclusive of group life insurance.
