About the Union
Subscription Here you have an overview of the most ordinary membership fee categories within the 3F trade union. The price will depend on whether you are a member of both trade union and unemployment fund.
The membership fee comprises a branch subscription fee which will vary from one branch to the other. This is why prices are stated as approximate prices.
Trade union

Full-time approximately 494 (2025) kroner per month (after tax approximately 378 (2025) kroner per month) - including group life insurance.

Part-time under 30 hours per week approximately 368 (2025) kroner per month (after tax approximately 284 (2025) kroner per month) - including group life insurance.

+ Optional personal accident insurance for 38 kroner per month. The personal accident insurance is free for the first three months for new members.

 Trade union and unemployment fund

Full-time: approx. DKK 1.046 (2025) per month (after tax approximately 793 (2025) kroner per month) - including group life insurance.
+ optional accident insurance for 38 kroner per month. The accident insurance is free for the first three months for new members
+ optional early retirement contribution of 568 (2025) kroner per month.

Part-time: (under 30 hours per week) approx. DKK 368 (2025) kroner per month - including group life insurance.
+ optional accident insurance for DKK 38 kroner per month. The accident insurance is free for the first three months for new members
+ optional early retirement contribution (efterløn) of DKK 379 (2025) kroner per month

 Unemployment fund

Full-time: approx. DKK 552 (2025) per month.
+ optional early retirement contribution (efterløn) DKK 568 (2025) per month.

Part-time: (under 30 hours per week) approx. DKK 421 (2025) per month.
+ optional early retirement contribution (efterløn) DKK 379 (2025) per month.

Unemployed whose unemployment benefit period has expired: With 3F's unemployment fund, you have the option to apply for an exemption from paying the unemployment fund contribution when you are no longer entitled to unemployment benefits. Talk to your local 3F unemployment fund about it.

 Apprentice

Apprentice: DKK 65 (2025) per month
+ personal accident insurance, optional, DKK 38 per month

Adult apprentice: DKK 465 (2025) per month (if you are paid adult apprentice wages)
+ personal accident insurance, optional, DKK 38 per month

As an apprentice or in training, you can, in some cases, become a free member of the unemployment insurance fund (a-kassen). This means you would be exempt from paying the membership fee. Whether this applies to you depends on your situation, age, and other factors.

Membership fee is inclusive of group life insurance.
Spare time occupation

Young people under the age of 18: DKK 36 (2025) per month

Age 18 - 25 and less than 30 weekly working hours: DKK 69 (2025) per month
+ personal accident insurance, optional, DKK 38 per month.

Membership fee is inclusive of group life insurance.
